    How to Take Your Measurements
    Measurement guide

    Chest

Measure the widest part of your chest, directly under your armpits, with a big inhale. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

    Waist

Measure your waist about 6 to 8 inches below your armpits. This is typically your natural waistline.

    Hips

Measure the widest point of your hips with your feet shoulder-width apart. Stand naturally.

Tip: Wear the clothes you'd normally wear under the lab coat when measuring. Use a soft tape measure (or a string and ruler). Measure the circumference of your body without pulling it tight.
How sizing works: Most people's size is determined by their chest measurement. Your waist and hips will likely be smaller than the chart numbers for that size, and that's exactly how it's designed. The built-in belt pulls the waist in up to 8 inches, and the extra hip room lets you move freely in the lab.
Tip: If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up. Most customers tell us they prefer the slightly roomier fit, especially for layering or long days in the lab.

These are maximum body measurements the coat will accommodate. Choose the smallest size where all 3 of your measurements are at or below the numbers shown. The "Waist" column reflects measurements before using the built-in belt, which pulls in up to 8 additional inches.
