This coat actually checks all the boxes. Plus I love the pockets and hidden belt. This is what lab coats should actually be.
This lab coat fits like a glove and has so many pockets. I have been wearing lab coats for over a decade and this is the by far the best quality coat I have ever had. The functionality and safety considerations are perfect and well thought out. Plus the customization makes it look very sharp. Highly recommend!
If you're petite and every coat fits like a tent on you this is THE ONE!! 5'2" 95 lbs and an XS fits perfectly. Very functional and I will never get caught on anything again!! Big plus: the slits that allow access to pants pockets are zippered. Material is a great texture and feels cool. I absolutely recommend this!!
High quality! Fit is so good. Love the cuffs, love the pockets. The hidden waist adjuster is clever and functional. The length is perfect, and I can move easily. The fabric is not too heavy, while still feeling protective. Shipping and delivery were smooth to Canada. I will 100% be ordering more.
This thing fits, looks and feels better than advertised! The embroidery is equally well done. The quality is absolutely there! If you're ordering for yourself or your team, in my opinion is going to be a treat for anyone who wears it!
We were looking for a gift for our very frugal Stanford Physics PhD student and this fit the bill perfectly. Small enough to fit in his wallet and something he seemed to get a kick out of.
Beside myself over how great this coat is! It's a luxe-weight fabric, sewn beautifully with the best details ever. Love all the pockets, the side zip opening at the hip, and the cuffed sleeves. Even the embroidery was done to perfection. I'm a US size 4 with a small waist and the S fits like it was custom made for me--not tight, not too loose. I could get a sweater but probably not a sweatshirt under it. (I could take in the waist a button or two but not more than that and anyway it's perfect for me as is. Plenty of extra room through the hips even for my pear shape.)
I study chemistry and I also do indipendent research and I love this lab coat because I can bring all the stuff I need just in the dedicated pocket, and is also more comfortable that every other lab coat I ever wore in my life. My friends also said that is the best lab coat that they have ever seen; some said that I overpaid it, but I don't think so.
Overall, one of the best purchases that I have ever made.
P.S. sorry for my english if is incorrect
The Theo Gray Periodic Table is the perfect size (40x20) for the wall space available in my lab. The quality of the poster is excellent- heavy paper with a gloss coating will ensure it withstands errant splatters from the students. Highly recommend it!
I wanted to wait a couple months of use so I could give an honest review, not just based on first impressions, and I'm still as satisfied as the first day. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality—it's exceptionally comfortable, with perfect weight and excellent fit. The fabric is thick, durable, and surprisingly soft. I bought this for work, but honestly, I'm considering wearing it to dinner parties. It's better quality than most of my actual wardrobe, which says something either about this coat or my life choices. Possibly both.
My students and I really love our lab coats. They're super stylish and do a great job as my AP Chemistry students use them during lab work. They've already asked if they can take the lab coats with them when they graduate at the end of the school year.
Fun little nerdy pocket tool. I keep it in my wallet! A nice thing to have as an organic chemistry professor.
I found the curie lab coat in my pursuit for a 100% cotton lab coat, because polyester is too itchy for me. Also, I run warm and sweat more than maybe average? So I really wanted something breathable. AND that would fit. Ordered this in a 2x and it is PERFECT. I’m so glad I decided to splurge for my own comfort in the lab, since wearing a lab coat is required for the molecular lab where I want to spend a lot of time this winter on assay validation. Thank you for making such a wonderful product!
I love this lab coat. The embroidery turned out so good. I love its fit and all of the pockets with the compartmentalization.
Love my lab coats! I purchased two and use them for all my lab work. They fit great. I love all the pockets and the thickness of the fabric. I recommend this coat!
This lab coat is absolutely perfect. I wish I invested in this before. It fits perfect, the design is genius, it is the revolution in lab coat design that we need. I feel so safe and I can work and reach comfortably FINALLY.
The cotton fabric is comfortable yet still crisp, so it holds its shape but isn’t scratchy and annoying like those typical loaner coats in the lab that are polyester. I’m really enjoying the higher quality of the snap fasteners too, the larger metal pieces feel more substantial and durable so getting in and out of the coat is easier and never feels like the closures are going to come away with the fabric. Also the pockets are generous and functional.
The design of this coat is tapered and more fitted, so aside from being functional and comfortable it also just LOOKS better. I would say the fit is on the leaner side, so consider sizing up if you want some extra room or will wear this over bulkier base clothes like a hoodie.
Overall I’m really happy this lab coat! I chose to get it embroidered too - the stitching quality is nice and elevates the coat even more.
I was specifically looking for a 100% cotton lab coat because I am very sensitive to synthetic materials. They feel awful on my skin, trap odours, and are bad for the environment. I knew I wanted something breathable and gentle on my sensitive skin. Additionally, I knew that I did not want to exhaust myself jumping from store to store looking for lab coats, nor did I want to buy something online from Amazon. I went with Genius Lab because of the material, the care that seemed to go into helping the customer select the right fit, and the fact that their selection was small. I am very happy with my choice. The lab coat feels great, looks great and several of my classmates have asked me for the name of the company that made it. I bought a second cheaper lab coat from my university and this further validity my choice to pay the premium for Genius Lab. If you are someone who also has skin sensitivities that might include sensory processing issues, just prefer the feel of cotton, want something that is good for the environment, breathable, easy to clean and well-made then I highly recommend The Curie from Genius Lab.
You know those synthetic paper thin lab coats made for 35 cents and look it? This isn't one of them. High quality, thick material, COTTON not polyester. Solid weight and the silhouette displays nicely even when the pockets are full. Two things I wish the company would iterate: (1) make an organic cotton version and (2) add good sized (not micro) pockets on the interior of the coat. Even without #1 and #2, this coat is spectacular. Truly a science-based work of art-- someone from the science/clinical sphere was definitely involved in its creation, which is why it checks all the right boxes. Shipping was lightening fast. I got the white female lab coat fyi.
Quality is amazing. Definitely worth the money. I’m going to suggest this lab coat to all my friends and colleagues! Only thing is it ran a bit small, even tho I triple checked my measurements and gave myself extra room, the XS is just a bit more snug than I would have thought (but not too snug that it’s unusable). My next coat from here I will definitely size slightly up (I was between sizes anyways). Also, the pockets!!! No more pens falling out of my pockets when I bend over!!! I’m so in love! I also dyed it dark green and put lemon-patterned fabric on the pockets (doing this did not change the fit of the coat and it did not shrink)
We give each of the recipients of our Freshman Engineering Scholarships a Pocket Engineer before they head to college. This year we awarded 11 Pocket Engineers. Several from previous years have mentioned in their thank you's that they love the Pocket Engineer! Thanks, Tulsa Engineering Foundation
It's abundantly clear that this lab coat was designed by people who wear them. I never find myself fumbling to stow something, all of the pockets and holders are right where your brain expects one to be. They look great, too!
I have an exception in my contract specifically to allow me to wear a lab coat in place of a blazer as part of the faculty uniform. THIS is the lab coat I choose to wear all day. I've been through dozens of styles, trust me, just grab a Louie and don't look back.
This lab coat stands out for one simple reason: it actually fits tall people the way a lab coat should. It looks professional, feels durable, and functions well in day-to-day use. If you're a tall guy tired of short sleeves and boxy cuts, this is one of the few lab coats that gets it right.
I bought the periodic table 2 pack poster set for my son’s bedroom. It exactly what we wanted. Bright vivid images and lots of information - 5 stars
He loves it. We’re happy too
I have used many of the Pocket X products (Chemist, Engineer, Physicist, and Paleontologist), and have always been thoroughly happy with the purchases. The material looks nice and packs in a lot of information in a credit card size. The stencils, holes, or many other features on the various products work well and make them very handy. If you see one that intrigues you, I recommend trying it out.
The Pocket Physicist has also been improved (in my opinion) by now using purely SI for Maxwell's equations on the front. The constants and equations on the back are easily legible and cover a good spectrum of physics.
