Large Classroom Periodic Table of the Elements Photo Poster by Theodore Gray (53x27 in.)

Quantity

This iconic periodic table poster by author Theodore Gray shows real photos of every stable element painstakingly collected and photographed in high resolution.

The 53" x 27" (134 cm x 68 cm) size is huge, laminated, and double-sided. The back side charts include more data about each element, around a smaller photo. Choose the 2-pack bundle savings if you'd like to display both sides together.

This classroom-sized poster is made in the USA on heavy matte paper to reduce glare from windows with high-resolution printing methods. All 118 known elements as of 2026 are shown.

For a smaller office-sized version, look at our 40" x 20" single-sided edition here.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Yes. The uranium, thorium, and radium cubes are all sealed in acrylic, which contains any meaningful exposure. The radium sample specifically emits less radiation than you'd get on an airline flight, and even carrying the uranium sample in your pocket every day for a year wouldn't add up to the dose from a single medical scan. The Heritage Periodic Table follows the same standard: it's built to be safe to handle and store, and it deliberately leaves out the more dangerous radioactive elements like polonium and everything heavier, along with technetium and promethium.

Yes. The uranium sample is a naturally occurring mineral (autunite), which puts it in a license-exempt category under federal radioactive material rules rather than something restricted. The radium sample is sourced from an antique, which is part of why it can be shipped legally, including internationally. If you're outside the US, it's worth checking your own country's import rules since classifications vary.

It contains 83 real element samples embedded in acrylic, essentially every stable element collectible in solid form. A handful are deliberately excluded for safety or rarity reasons (the heavier radioactive elements past thorium, plus technetium and promethium), so what's left is the full set that can be safely handled and displayed.

Yes. These are sourced from a specialist manufacturer that hand-prepares real element and mineral samples, verified for purity, before sealing them in acrylic. That's also why a few, like the uranium sample, carry the standard radioactive-material notice: the radioactivity is real, not simulated, though it's well within safe handling limits.

Customers praised this double-sided periodic table poster for its "bright vivid images and lots of information." The quality and detailed design impressed shoppers. However, the glossy surface creates significant glare issues in well-lit rooms, making portions unreadable. Fast shipping and excellent service noted.

Beautiful.

As soon as it arrived, I wished I had bought the 2 pack. It is double sided and has one more detailed map, that we will be using, but the other side is beautiful and I would love to also display it.If I could go back, I would have bought two.

Great product, but the surface is too shiny

I bought the periodic table poster, and it looks great if your room has no windows or other sources of light. However, during the day, half of the table becomes unreadable due to glare. I have to close the blinds and cover my lamps just to make it readable. Please consider printing it on matte paper with higher contrast rather than gloss lamination. Other than that, it is a very cool product. The delivery was fast, and the service was excellent. One more thing: please review your marketing approach. I received more than 10 promotional messages from your shop. I can delete them, of course, but I did not expect to get so many.

Thanks Eugene! Sorry about the emails. I checked, and I see 3 that were our new subscriber intro/resources. The rest were order confirmation, shipping confirmation, product care instructions, and delivery notifications. Let me know if there is something else I'm missing! And great feedback about the gloss as well. The top priority was a protective laminated finish. We'll sample some matte finishes before the next run.
