You can cancel or modify your order at any time before your lab coat is shipped. However, a large number of cancellations after production is started will put us into a lot of financial debt. Please only pre-order if you fully intend on buying this lab coat. That being said, unexpected changes happen. Read our detailed pre-order policy page here.

That's fine! Put in your current address or the permanent address of a family member. We'll send a reminder to update it before we ship. However, we're not responsible for shipping charges if your address is not updated in time.

What if it doesn't fit?

We publish detailed size charts to make sure you find the right fit the first time. You just need to check it against your own measurements. However, the lab coats can be returned or exchanged if you cover the shipping and restocking cost (usually around $12 total in the USA).

Group orders, embroidery, and POs

We can take group orders to save on shipping costs and we can accept Purchase Orders for a minimum of 8 lab coats. We will also offer embroidery options before shipping. See our group orders page for more details.

The pre-order funded. We hit our goal, built the coats, and shipped them to scientists in labs around the world. Over 1,500 of you helped design them through The Lab Coat Project survey, and the final products came directly out of that data.

We now have four lab coats in the lineup: the Curie (women's fit) and Louis (men's fit), each in white and black. We even launched a maternity lab coat. None of that existed when this page went live.

We did it! With your help, we've crowdfunded more than half of the ~$50,000 up-front manufacturing costs. The first batch is on track to ship in late March 2024. You can cancel or update your order at any time before we ship. See our pre-order policy page for more details.

October 13th, 2023: We met the pre-order goal of 600 lab coats on the final day!
October 16th, 2023: Downpayment made to textile manufacturer to start production of our custom fabric.
October 30th, 2023: Final size and features details submitted to manufacturer.
November 14th, 2023: Tags, labels, and packaging finalized and ordered.
November 20th, 2023: Updated snaps samples received on final design lab coats. Approved for production!
December 1st, 2023: Discovered that our primary supplier had their $2650 bank payment stolen by email hacker. This caused a 1 month delay in manufacturing of ribbed knit cuffs. May affect final delivery date.
December 4th, 2023: Textile mill production sample received and approved.
December 8th, 2023: Custom fabric shipped from textile mill to cut & sew manufacturer.
December 22nd, 2023: Cutting and sewing begins.
December 24th, 2023: Ribbed knit cuffs shipped by sub-supplier to main manufacturer for final assembly.
January 25th, 2024: Lab coat manufacturing finished!
January 26th, 2024: Embroidery, packaging, and labeling begins.
February 4th, 2024: Lab coats handed to freight company for sea shipping (Vietnam to USA).
March 4th, 2024: Container arrived in USA Port of LA
March 18th, 2024: Container loaded onto truck to our warehouse in Knoxville, TN.
March 25th, 2024: Warehouse receives container into inventory, begins shipping orders (earliest orders first).
