November Resource - Fellowships for graduate schools:

November brings us the most wonderful season: fellowship application season! If you're in graduate school or starting to apply, an external fellowship can bring your pay well above the cost of living, which makes graduate school much more enjoyable, and also present you with networking opportunities and extra resources during your research. Best of all, many fellowships let you choose your own research projects!

Applications don't have to be a huge burden when you have the right resources and guidance. Below are some of our favorite websites to get you started in finding fellowships best for you and tips for completing them. Many are due in November and December, so start right away!

University of Colorado compiled national fellowship opportunities (USA): The most comprehensive list of resources

NCSU National Graduate Fellowships List: more focused on the well-known ones you should target first.

Pathways to Science: A toolbox for preparing applications, plus some lists of opportunities

November News:

On November 9th we're launching our newest Pocket card: The Pocket Engineer! However, since you're some of our biggest fans, we're giving you early access to buy it now! Just follow the link above and we'll get it shipped out by November 9th at the latest.

The Pocket Engineer takes the same form factor and rulers you love in your current card, but adds more unit conversions, a machinist ruler, fractional inch conversions and a pipe inner diameter measurement tool. If you know an Engineer or a "maker" that love to do hands-on work, get this as a gift for them!

      Just for fun:
