Thank you for ordering The Pocket Scientist, The Pocket Chemist or The Pocket Engineer and scanning the QR code to reach this page! This page is exclusively for holders of these cards and will have new content, freebies, resources and discounts every calendar month.
If you just joined the ranks of card holders this holiday season, you may have missed our Science Word Magnets launch last summer! We'll give you another chance with $1.50 off each set you buy with the discount code: NEEDMOREWORDS.
A few versions are close to sold out, but luckily we ordered extra of these below because they pair so well with the Pocket cards:
If you love The Pocket Scientist -> Science Basics Word Magnets
If you love The Pocket Chemist -> Chemistry Word Magnets
If you love The Pocket Engineer -> Engineering Word Magnets
In grad school, I came up with an efficient system for reading hundreds of scientific papers and organizing them to save me time later writing a literature review. Everyone will need to do this at some point. I wrote an 11-minute blog post outlining my methods and including some tips & tricks that will save you a ton of time. Comment on it to let me know what you think!
How to read scientific papers quickly (and effectively organize them for a literature review)
This might not be newsworthy but it's extremely important to us: We're switching all of our plastic bubble mailers out for cardboard mailers. The cardboard versions cost twice as much, but will decompose if not recycled and will not contribute to the growing microplastics problems in our environment. If you still have your black plastic bubble mailer from us, please drop it off at a grocery store bag recycling bin to recycle it!
Casual Friday isn't always for everyone...
