Thank you for ordering The Pocket Scientist, The Pocket Chemist, The Pocket Engineer or The Pocket Physicist and scanning the QR code to reach this page! This page is exclusively for holders of these cards and will have new content, freebies, resources and discounts every calendar month.

Would you love to leave little message rants and funny science-y phrases to your lab mates and office neighbors? Use code "WORDSMITH" for $1.50 off all STEM Word Magnet sets. These sets are all designed by an expert in the field for college to professional level jargon plus other fun words to give you some flexibility. We have sets for 9 different fields, including Engineering, Chemistry and Physics!
Laboratories produce huge amounts of waste, both chemical and in disposable supplies. MyGreenLab.org has a ton of excellent resources with ideas for reducing waste and energy use. They also have content for "green chemistry" which involves using alternative chemicals or processes that have less environmental impact. Below are some great options from their website:
With a little legwork we've been able to get wholesale orders from several college bookstores around the USA. If you think the Pocket cards would be a great fit in your local bookstore, let them know on their contact form and send me an email to follow up with them! Most of our sales are through Amazon right now, and I'd love to change that toward local independent college bookstores, so I need your help!
We're over 975 responses and I couldn't help but peek at the data. "Peek" might be an understatement. I spent an entire weekend pouring through it, reading every single rant and learning how to make queries in Google Docs to parse the data into useful plots. Now, for your viewing enjoyment, those plots are published at the bottom of the main Lab Coat Project page.
See what's winning in the major design features and what the favorite colors are! We're seeing trends in the fit data but won't publish that until we get well over 1000 responses to ensure they are statistically significant in every size range.
PLEASE if you know a single scientist or engineer who wears a lab coat and has not taken this survey, we need their voice added! It's only an 8-minute form. Forward this link to them and tell them how awesome this is going to be when everyone contributes.
