Cities around the world are having their PRIDE parades and events in the coming weeks which makes it the perfect time to get one of the O.G. stickers that started the business. In June, if you buy just one item that is a sticker, Pocket card or Word Magnets, add the Science is for everyone or Engineering is for everyone sticker to your cart and add the code 4EVERYONE to get that $5 sticker free!
Slap it on your laptop, your thermos, your notebook or your favorite fierce laboratory machine to show your support for creating an inclusive environment in scientific research.
June Resource - Neuroscience podcasts that any curious STEM researcher would love:
Neuroscience has always been fascinating to me, even though it's far from my training. I think it's because it can directly apply to your life and your behavior, and everyone stands to gain from great neuroscience research. I started listening to a ton of neuroscience podcasts and eventually made a list of my favorites. The list is fully hyperlinked to your 3-5 top podcast players and their social media accounts or websites wherever possible. Enjoy!
June News - Brand Ambassador Program!
In the past we've had a few key superfans help us get the word out on new products and it's been such a big part of our growth. A few weeks ago we signed up for new software that will allow us to manage brand partners easily, including sending free gifts, coordinating special access, and sharing affiliate commissions. The role of our new Brand Ambassadors is to help share our tools and resources to wider audiences and share in our success when we grow.
If you'd like to apply to the Brand Ambassador program, just go here and answer the short questionnaire! Not everyone will be accepted, but if you love what we're doing and are willing to share it with your friends and colleagues, you may be a good fit!
Major data update on The Lab Coat Project!
We're over 960 responses and I couldn't help but peek at the data. "Peek" might be an understatement. I spent an entire weekend pouring through it, reading every single rant and learning how to make queries in Google Docs to parse the data into useful plots. Now, for your viewing enjoyment, those plots are published at the bottom of the main Lab Coat Project page.
See what's winning in the major design features and what the favorite colors are! We're seeing trends in the fit data but won't publish that until we get well over 1000 responses to ensure they are statistically significant in every size range.
PLEASE if you know a single scientist or engineer who wears a lab coat and has not taken this survey, we need their voice added! It's only an 8-minute form. Forward this link to them and tell them how awesome this is going to be when everyone contributes.
Just for fun:
That's one way to guarantee yourself first author.
