December Resource - Free video editing tools:

I've been experimenting with more video lately and want to recommend two free tools that will enable you to edit and share all of your SciComm videos more easily.
  • CapCut - The best free video editor for iOS and Android. It's TikTok friendly and very intuitive. Share your science quickly!
  • DaVinci Resolve - This is a professional video editor for PC/Mac that is absurdly free unless you need the last 10% of expert features (you don't). It's intimidating at first but you only need about 5 buttons to slice up your videos and add text overlays. Watch a YouTube tutorial for beginners before diving in.

December News - Making progress on The Lab Coat Project

We just released several photos of our first prototype for The Lab Coat Project to our email list. Here's one of them below. We'll be sending more updates including a Beta tester application via email very soon. Make sure you're subscribed to get these community updates and be a part of our mission to make a lab coat you look and feel great in.

If you know a single scientist or engineer who wears a lab coat and has not taken this survey, we need their voice added! It's only an 8-minute form. Forward this link to them and tell them how awesome this is going to be when everyone contributes.

          Just for fun:

After a detailed analysis, researchers are still struggling to understand the mechanism behind the glowing nose.
