After many requests, we made a “High School Edition” for The Pocket Scientist. This is perfect for grades 9-12 where more general subjects are covered with a focus on hands-on learning. If you know someone interested in STEM ages 14-18, grab this for 15% off in the month of August using code INSPIRE15 at checkout.
I’ve said before I’m a huge Notion fan. The database and relations functions make it so much more useful than OneNote, Evernote, or simple to-do lists. It can be a little intimidating, but luckily there are thousands of free templates (and some paid ones) to help get you started.
I did some legwork to find a few good ones as examples relevant to STEM research.
If you’re new to Notion, I like Jeff Su’s 15-min YouTube Video as a jump-start. Enjoy!

Science cartoons by Tom Gauld.
Derek is taking some time off to travel with his wife while she is between jobs! He’ll be back in full swing in November, and attempting to keep up with things in between. Luckily, several other team members are now helping out with customer service, so you might hear back from someone new!
