August Resource: Adding a sense of urgency to your day for looming deadlines
Have a big paper due in 2 weeks? Results you need for a conference in 3 months? I’ve got a little hack to keep you motivated. There’s a tiny, free, floating desktop timer that you can have ticking away in the corner to remind you that your time is running out.
This one from Timeleft.info is a bit retro, but trust me - I’ve tried at least 5 of these and this is the most free, unobtrusive, and easiest to use. Just add a title like “ACS abstract due in:” and then set the date to countdown toward. Make sure to leave the seconds enabled so you get the sense that time is passing, then get that looming project finished!

Over 1000 lab coats shipped last week
Our warehouse was hard at work last week getting all of the pre-orders out the door within 2 days of the truck arriving! If you haven’t gotten tracking, it’s probably because it went to embroidery. We started with 4000 and are already down to 2800. Make sure to get what you need before the August student rush starts (including our new color: Dark Matter).
